Old Steading Cottage.
Completely renovated during 2007, with completion in early spring 2008, Old Steading Cottage offers a stylish, comfortable holiday cottage experience with a traditional twist - an exposed stone wall to the open plan living area and entrance lobby, combed ceilings and slate flagstone floors throughout.

Over 150 years old, Old Steading Cottage offers a warm and relaxing holiday experience but with lots of space – far removed from its original use as a cattle byre.
Watch the flames flicker in the woodburner, feel the warmth of the underfloor heating through the slate flagstones, relax with a chilled glass of wine and enjoy the views from the living room area across the Glen towards the striking conical shaped Mount Blair and up the Glen towards Dalnaglar and the Spittal of Glenshee. Watch the birds and wildlife that we encourage at Dalnoid, including red squirrels, stoats, roe deer, woodpeckers, siskins, gold finches, jays, owls, birds of prey and many more.
On warmer days and evenings, push back the patio doors and step out onto the elevated decked patio and savour the stunning scenery, before lighting up the barbecue and tucking into some of the fine local produce available in the area, including a dram of Edradour Malt, from Scotland’s smallest Distillery, just over the moors on the outskirts of Pitlochry.
The kitchen area benefits from all mod-cons to make your holiday as relaxing as possible, including a dish-washer, washing machine, microwave and many other useful items. It is very well equipped so if you want to stay in and ‘self-cater’ you will find everything you need.
For those who would prefer to enjoy some of the high quality local produce – venison, pheasant, partridge, grouse, salmon and trout, as well as some of the juiciest strawberries and raspberries around there are several good pubs and restaurants within a few miles drive. Taxis can be arranged for those wishing to enjoy a ‘wee dram’ from the many local distilleries on Deeside and in Highland Perthshire.
The cottage, which sleeps four, has a spacious king-size room with ensuite shower-room, perfect for that romantic get-away, as well as a twin bedded room, and a main bathroom with shower.
One well behaved pet is accepted in Old Steading Cottage, for a charge of £10. For the comfort of other guests we do not allow smoking inside the cottage.
Old Steading Cottage, has an under floor heating system which provides heating and hot water throughout the year, which is driven by heat from the ground via ground source heat pumps – providing a more sustainable holiday environment.
