Whilst staying at Dalnoid, you will find
that all of our properties are very well equipped for self-catering, but equally there are
some delightful pubs/restaurants and tea rooms to try nearby if you decide to go out. Using
locally sourced food wherever possible to ensure that you have an enjoyable experience, some
of our favourites places to eat out are:
Glenisla Hotel, Kirkton of Glenisla - this old coaching inn
in the Angus Glens retains its charm and original character. Lunches, high tea and dinner
served daily
Dalmore Inn & Restaurant, Blairgowrie -
offering a varied menu to reflect their love of Scotland, the Dalmore is open daily from 10am
- 9pm for coffees, lunch & dinner
Little's Fish Restaurant, Blairgowrie -
owned and operated by Willie Little of Fish in Crieff, all things fishy feature highly on his
Blairgowrie menus, though meat, game and vegetarian dishes are also available
Strathmore Golf Club, nr Alyth - this modern
clubhouse has beautiful views along the Vale of Strathmore. Home-cooked food served all day,
including Thursday steak night and Sunday carvery
The Fife
Arms, Braemar - this unique venue offers a range of dining options, whether you visit
the Flying Stag for a bar meal, The Drawing Room for afternoon tea, Elsa's art-deco
cocktail bar, or The Clunie Dining Room for a dinner experience to remember
If you don't want to venture out for a
meal, or visit the supermarket, then pop into the on-site Dalnoid Honesty
Shop instead.

some of the best tea rooms around are:
Wee House of Glenshee - This tea room, visitor centre &
gift shop is just 3/4 mile up the road from Dalnoid. Pop in for some home baking or a light
lunch. Friendly and informal, the log fire will be burning on chillier days and your scone
will be warmed in the Aga!
The Bothy, Braemar -
tearoom with a great choice for lunches or snacks
