Just outside of Dunkeld, visit Loch of the Lowes Visitor Centre and Wildlife Reserve to catch sight of ospreys, red squirrels, beavers and various birds.
Take a drive over Glenshee to Braemar, especially at dusk, and you have a good chance of seeing a herd of red deer and mountain hares - drive carefully though!
